An Update on the Washington State COVID-19 Eviction Moratorium (Updated December 28, 2020)
Washington State’s Governor Inslee has just announced another extension to the Washington statewide eviction moratorium, this time extending the order until the end of March 2021. The moratorium on residential eviction actions in Washington State was set to expire on December 31, 2020 prior to the extension granted by the Governor.
While final details of the extension have not yet been issued, we suspect that this extension on the moratorium will still contain certain exemptions that allow property owners to proceed with evictions under limited circumstances, including where a property owner wants to move back into the property or list it for sale.
